Who says a guestbook has to be a book?

Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life and you will never forget the big or small details, such as the look on your bride/groom’s face when you first saw each other, the song you danced to for your first dance, the way the reception looked… But years from now, will you remember all of the guests that were there to share your special day? Probably not off hand; this is where guestbooks will save your brain the homework!
Most people have attended a wedding where there is a guest book left at an entrance table where guests can sign and maybe even write some advice to the newlyweds, but unfortunately those guests books are often forgotten over the years.  Whether they are boxed up or even placed on a shelf, they are usually overlooked as life moves on.
It doesn’t have to be this way though… Below are some creative guestbook ideas we came across that you can place around the home to remember who was there to celebrate with you. We hope you enjoy them and don’t forget to stay tuned for updates on our upcoming weddings!
1. For the picture perfect couple: Guests sign the back of puzzle pieces that when put together are a picture of the bride and groom. Idea & photo courtesy of: http://wedding.theknot.com/wedding-planning/wedding-reception-planning/articles/15-ways-to-wow-wedding-guests.aspx?page=12

2.   For the musically inclined couple: Guests sign a guitar or other instrument that is significant to the couple. Idea & photo courtesy of: http://www.creatingreallyawesomefreethings.com/25-unique-guest-book-ideas/

3. For the winter couple: Guests sign ornaments that the couple can place on a tree each year. Idea and photo courtesy of: http://www.girlywedding.com/wedding-blog/2011/9/24/10-more-creative-wedding-guest-book-ideas.html

Is it April yet?

Before we get into explaining why we are anxiously waiting on April’s arrival - we want to apologize for falling off the blogging world grid for a while! We don’t usually share much of our personal lives on our blog but the past few months have involved some big changes for ABN and life was a little hectic there for a bit. Don’t worry, they were all AWESOME changes :) That being said, we are ready to jump back into the blogging world and we aren’t talking a smooth graceful dive - we are talking full out CANONBALL! We are ready to make some waves in the beautiful wedding industry and hope you guys are ready for us! We like to call it the “ABN Comeback”, in a sense. :)

So getting back on track… IS IT APRIL YET? ABN is counting down the days ‘til April. Why, you ask? Well it’s because we have two amazing weddings coming up. We are T-minus 2 weeks until the Kalata-Dobson wedding and T-minus 23 days until the Hughs-Christine wedding!

Recently we had our final walk through for the Kalata-Dobson wedding at the Vinoy and we know the day is going to be perfect. We have a gorgeous bride, handsome groom, beautiful venue, and a ceremony rich in Polish wedding traditions. We really can’t wait to see this wedding come together.

We are in the home stretch for the Hughs-Christine wedding too, which is going to be flawless, including a unique color twist at a fabulous venue, Mirror Lake Lyceum in St. Pete!

The best part of our jobs, besides assisting couples in bringing their dream weddings to reality, is being able to see how every wedding comes together and is extraordinarily brought to life in its own way.

Well, we are off to finalize some last minute event details and look forward to keeping in touch again!

TTFN!
